Eco Friendly Ganesha

About This Initiative
Eco-Friendly Ganesha is a flagship initiative of the Rotaract Club of Navi Mumbai that brings together creativity, sustainability, and social responsibility. During the festive season of Ganesh Chaturthi, our members conduct workshops across schools, colleges, and corporate offices, teaching participants to make their own Ganpati idols using eco-friendly clay, known as shadu maati. Through this initiative, we aim to encourage environmentally conscious celebrations while preserving the cultural and spiritual significance of the festival.
What makes this initiative truly special is the purpose behind every idol created. The funds raised through these workshops are directed towards Iccha, another flagship initiative of our club dedicated to raising funds for children battling cancer. By combining environmental awareness with a meaningful social cause, Eco-Friendly Ganesha transforms a festive tradition into an opportunity to create a positive impact, reminding us that even the smallest acts of creativity can contribute to a greater cause.
